Creating a Manual Collection

In Shopify there are 2 types of collections:

• Automatic Collection – Products that fit criteria for the collection (i.e, products have certain tags, are priced in a defined range, have defined keywords in their title)
• Manual Collection – Products are selected and added individually

Podify products can only be imported into Shopify into a manual collection.  Automatic collections will not appear when importing the products to store.

To create a manual collection please do the following:

Step 1: in Shopify Admin go to Products and then Collections

Step 2: On the Collections page go to Create Collection

Step 3: Give the collection a name and under Collection Type select Manual.  Click Save

This collection should now appear as a dropdown option when importing products and selecting collection.
